Examples of the APA Format
The APA (American Psychological Association) Format is also used here, primarily for science assignments. These are examples of how to create citations for several different types of resources using the APA format.
When any citation uses two or more lines, a hanging indentation is used to place the second and third lines under the first line. To create a hanging indentation in Microsoft Word, go to the Format tab at the top of the page. Choose Paragraph. When the Paragraph Page appears, in the middle of the page, locate the item "Special". Click on the drop down tab and choose "Hanging". Click on OK.
