Website Evaluation Checklist
Here is a basic checklist you can use to help you evaluate a website
1. Read the URL. This will help you determine what type of website it is.
2. Locate the "About Us" information. This will give you the information about the content of the website and also help you determine who is responsible for the information on the website.
3. Locate the date of the last update of the website. This will help you determine the currency of the information on the website.
4. Ask your self:
A. Who owns the site and is responsible for its content?
B. What is the purpose of the website? Look at the About Us or About or Our Mission or some other link that will tell you about the site.
C. What is the point of view of the website?
D. When was the site last updated?
E. Why would this website be a good resource for me?
